Hon. Amos Lugoloobi Meets a Delegation from United Nations Economic Commission for Africa(UNECA)

Minister of State for Planning Amos Lugoloobi yesterday met the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa delegation led by Mr. Antonio Pedro, Deputy Executive Secretary (Programme Support) at Ministry of Finance.

The delegation came to participate in the launch activities for the 11th Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (ARFSD-11) scheduled for April 2025.They are also undertaking relevant consultations with Government and other Partners in preparation for the Forum.

Amos Lugoloobi welcomed the delegation to Uganda and wished them fruitful engagements.

The Minister and the delegation discussed issues of aligning sustainable development goals with national development goals to stimulate economic growth, resource mobilization for investment and service delivery, harnessing the demographic dividend by investing more in human capital development as well as promoting local investment and supporting to the private sector to thrive and become competitive.
