PSST Mr. Ramathan Ggoobi at e-GP Leadership and Sponsorship awareness engagement

PSST Mr. Ramathan Ggoobi said full implementation of electronic government procurement system (e-GP) is expected to generate significant efficiency gains & improve service delivery by reducing endemic delays in public sector procurement, reducing corruption & enhancing access to real time information.

He said e-GP will also minimize the cost of doing business, increase bidder participation & competition as well as transparency & accountability. This was at the Leadership & Sponsorship awareness meeting on Government of Uganda e-GP system at Kampala Serena.

Mr. Ramathan Ggoobi said the ministry will continue to pursue strategic reforms in public sector procurement to achieve better value for money & enable effective, transparent & accountable use of public resources as a basis for economic transformation & improved service delivery.
