State Minister for Finance Hon. Musasizi Henry making his remarks at the Local Government Internal Auditors Association Annual General Meeting

Minister of State for General Duties Hon. Henry Musasizi called upon Internal Auditors to shift from retrospective audit/compliance in order to remain relevant and also be able to provide more value to the organizations they serve.

He said, although retrospective auditing has an important role of ensuring that controls are working, some of the biggest threats to organizations are those, never seen before or complicated to manage. He made the remarks today while officiating at the Local Government Internal Auditors Association annual general meeting, 2023 at Colline Hotel,Mukono.

He said this Association & the Profession must enhance and promote values like: Integrity, courage, service excellence & team Work.

"Government of Uganda commits to continue supporting Internal Audit function in Central and Local governments," said the Minister.
